51-year-old man, who is also suspected of handling stolen goods, is now being kept in custody following several major police raids yesterday on tattoo shops in Trondheim, Tromsø and Lillehammer in connection with tax offences. The three properties are believed to be connected to the gang.
Superintendent Egil Gabrielsen in South-Trøndelag Police District tells Dagbladet the man, “is the central character in this matter.”
According to Adresseavisen, police investigations have revealed the suspected leader is involved with the businesses in some way.
Sør-Trondelag District Court has already indicted the man for drugs offences, aggravated battery, and making death threats. It has also ruled he visited several competitors in Trondheim, making threats and extorting money.
His trial for these former offences is scheduled for 28th March, following which police will be considering further charges relating to yesterday’s raid, reports Dagbladet.
