Gangs Squad detectives have arrested and charged a member of an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang over an alleged carjacking at Westmead last year.
Detectives yesterday arrested a 22-year-old man at Merrylands Police Station. Police allege the man is a member of the Hells Angels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.
He was charged with aggravated assault with intent to take/drive motor vehicle. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on 29 March 2011.
The charges relate to investigations conducted by police into the alleged theft of a motor vehicle at Westmead on 21 December 2010.
Strike Force Acquaint comprises detectives from the State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad and was established to investigate the incident and other related matters.
