He was Sindhi language film artist and acted in TV plays also. Waris was the most popular TV serial of 70's and Mahboob Alam acted main role (Wadda Choudhery) in this serial and got fame from this serial. Other films Rut ja rishta, Dharti la kunwar and Dharti dilwaran jee (Sindhi 1975), Shahzor (1976) Khak aur khoon (1979), Fata fat (1981), Khan balouch (Saraiki 1985) and Darya Khan (Sindhi 1991).
